Hey! Just a reminder about the documentary on the life of the Buddha that will be shown tomorrow in room 2B in ULU (see end of email)

Also, there have been some major changes to our plans for the retreat, we have decided to change monastery for our trip and also the dates...

Throssel Hole Buddhist Abbey- Soto Zen tradition

11 - 13 April- last weekend of easter Holidays.

					'For anyone
new to practice and interested in finding out about it, we strongly
recommend coming to one of our introductory retreats which provide a
gentle and gradual introduction to meditation and its application in
daily life. These retreats are run by a group of senior monks who share
in the weekend's activities, give teaching and are at hand to answer
questions. Private spiritual counselling is also available. The Dharma
talks introduce the Buddha's teaching and its practical application in
daily life. The classes alternate with periods of seated meditation and
working meditation. Introductory retreats begin on Friday afternoons
and end on Sunday around 2pm.'see the website for more information: http://www.throssel.org.uk/We need to know asap if you can come for this trip as we need each person to fill out a registration form for the retreat. Therefore, please come either tomorrow or at the latest to next week's retreat to fill in a form for us. Those who expressed an interest in the retreat already. Your places are secure unless you tell me otherwise. So just to state again we will be registering people for the retreat tomorrow and at next Monday's session.Best wishes,Alastair(see ruo's email below for tomorrow's arrangements)

*Snacks and refreshments are also available*

Finally,
as you may already be aware, our AGM is fast approaching and we will
soon need new members to help out with our activities. So if you are
interested or even have any ideas that you think might give ULUBUDA a
bit of zing then please do drop me an email :) From a
personal perspective (and i don't mean to sound bias) if you can spare
some time (it doesn't have to be a lot) and have the enthusiasm, then i
really recommend it as i have met some truely amazing people and have
formed great friendships along the way.

Hope to see you all soon,

With metta (loving-kindness)

Ruo
