I hope you had a lovely weekend/reading week/half-term.. =)

Please be reminded that there will be no meditation today (Monday) as 
we will be preparing for this Wednesday Social Dharma gathering (venue: 
Room 2B, 2/F, ULU - Time: 6:30pm - 8:00pm approx). Details have been 
sent to all of you in the previous e-mail from Alastair (our Dharma 
Co-ordinator).

Matt Huddleson on Buddhism and Science. I have attached it below,

Buddhism and Science Discussion
Matt Huddleston will be giving a unque talk at the Conway Hall this 
November as he discusses the nature of Buddhism and the similarities it 
holds with some aspects of science.

Having studied everything from holograms to hurricances in the name of 
science, Matt will be giving an overview on his time as a scientist and 
as a lay Buddhist teacher. Using the perspective of the Buddhist saying 
Form is Emptiness and Emptiness is Form, Matt will be analysing the key 
differences and similarities between one of the worlds oldest religions 
and the nature of scientific theory. Drawing parallels between the two 
worlds, this Buddhism and science discussion will be a fascinating 
evening of theory versus belief, and experiment versus faith.

Tickets for the Buddhism and science discussion with Matt Huddleston 
are priced at £6.00, with concessions at £4.00.
